Keelman Homes Ltd is a not-for-profit registered provider based in Gateshead. Originally established as a wholly owned charitable subsidiary of The Gateshead Housing Company (TGHC) to redevelop Kibblesworth in South Gateshead, we currently own around 190 homes and have a further 126 in development.

Our ownership changed in 2014 when our trustees became Members of Keelman Homes, taking on ownership of the company and ultimate responsibility for its success.

We have an opportunity for a new trustee to join our incredibly committed and experienced Board. We’re looking for people who have a keen interest in developing thriving communities and offering great places to live in Gateshead. Our ideal candidate would have knowledge and experience of one or more of the following areas:

  • Developing new homes for rent and sale
  • Governance
  • Financial management
  • Leading or helping to lead an organisation
  • Creating social value for communities
  • Business development

The positions are unremunerated (but reasonable expenses are paid) and meetings take place six times a year. If you’re eager to work with us, then we’d love to hear from you.
