New homes in Ryton.
Housing association Keelman Homes Limited is building new quality affordable homes for rent in the Ryton area of Gateshead, in partnership with housebuilders Esh Group and the Homes and Communities Agency.
Construction work began in August 2015 to build new homes on two sites at Runhead and Heddon Close, and once completed these exciting developments will provide 15 new affordable-rent properties for local people.
The scheme at Runhead will provide nine new homes made up of a mixture of two-, three- and four-bedroomed houses for affordable rent from Keelman Homes Limited. The six properties at Heddon Close, a mixture of two-bedroomed houses and apartments, will also be for affordable rent.
Once completed, the properties will be managed by The Gateshead Housing Company on behalf of Keelman Homes Limited.
Development and Investment Manager Amanda Gallagher said: “Providing quality affordable housing is very important to us, so we are very excited about the new homes and the difference we hope they will make to local communities.”
The new homes in Ryton are expected to be available for rent in Summer 2016. Keelman Homes Limited will advertise them on Tyne and Wear Homes, alongside other properties managed by The Gateshead Housing Company.
